The next revolution is “Industry 5.0+”, a vision of industry that aims beyond efficiency and productivity as the sole goals and reinforces AI to render a robust and resilient “human-machine collaboration”. The key to transition from the technology-centric Industry 4.0 paradigm to a socio-technical Industry 5.0 paradigm is an emphasis on human-machine collaboration.
Aged Care
A massive challenge for Australia is to provide sufficient health workforce for an ageing population where the current workforce is also ageing. As we create new cyber-physical systems and communications technologies, our practitioners, caregivers, and aging adults will be joined by intelligent robots that are designed to anticipate and intuitively meet the needs of our most vulnerable people in diverse aged care settings.
